Top Local Tips for Moina
Isolated Moina is completely isolated so unless you are happy to stay and eat expensively at Cradle Mountain Chalet I would book elsewhere.
groceries... Be armed with groceries, as Moina is very remote with no shops or restaurants! The nearest town is 30 mins drive away...
Beautiful spot but no attractions Moina has no attractions it is more for stopping over on the way to Cradle Mountain, Deloraine or Devonport or somewhere else!

This backpacker-style fare would be sub-standard in any location, but especially difficult in a town without other nearby eating options or shops.
Further, we found the service lacking, as we were told that the breakfast was merely complimentary, that the hotel is really not a bed and breakfast at all, and that we can lodge a written complaint to tourism authorities. No effort was made to remedy our concerns.
As a result, the Chalets compared very badly in service and cost with other similarly rated Tasmanian Bed and Breakfast cottages we stayed at during our trip.
