Simply The Best

I have been staying at the Noorla for one night every fortnight since April 07. The accommodation is excellent and the friendly service is the best I have encountered through my trips in Australia and South East Asia. I have paid three times as much for accommodation of similar style elsewhere and not had the bonus of being looked after by the people at the Noorla.
Little oasis

After a hard day of driving, the Noorla was a welcome site. The warm greeting, food (and special treats given to the kids)and rooms were a delight. Information on what to do in the area was also really helpful. Wallaman Falls is a must if you are in the area.

This lovingly restored Grand old hotel is a great place to stay with a wonderful mix of old world charm and modern convieniences. The antique display is fantastic as is the history and photos of the locals hung on the walls up stais. The service was great and the meals very good - like home cooking - which is great when you are on the road
Disappointing

An interesting building and antiques and the accommodation was fine. But service was non-existant. We were greeted with "sorry can't help with the luggage", at breakfast we were asked "do you want breakfast?", there was no warning that dinner was not available on the second night and no breakfast on the second day. It took nearly an hour to check out.
Great visuals

This place has great visuals, its like a painting, eveything gels together, the antiques are over the top. Food is great, service is great, the location is weid, in a side street, worth the effort to find.
Hidden gem in the middle of nowhere

This is a fabulous place in a side street of Ingham on the way to Cairns from Townsville. The food was fantastic, had Tapas and Ceylonese Curry. The antiques are amazing
Hidden Treasure

This place is a hiden treasure in Ingham, in the northern part of queensland. There are no signs to it, and it is hidden is a back street of the main highway. The building is a grand old mansion with great antiques, a cool bar and great food. Well worth looking up on the way through to Cairns.
