Just fantastic, this older lodge has been totally transformed into a first class hotel.I didn't want to leave, my room faced front valley with the most spectacular views, a plasma TV hung on the wall with a huge variety of cable channels, DVD's were available at the front desk free of charge.A warm cosy library was stacked with books and magazines for guests to read whilst sipping on a schnapps purchased in the bar across the hall.Breakfast was served in the restaurant,with panaramic views of the mountain, the scrambled eggs, mushrooms and tomato were to die for. The staff were lovely, even offering to help dig my car out after an early season snow fall.I'll definatly be back, money well spent.

The Candlelight Lodge This is a great hotel. The room we stayed in was a generous size and was nicely appointed. The service was completely personal and the staff were happy and friendly. The place had a really 'homely' feel and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Hiring Gear If you are hiring snow gear, make sure you take some big bags with you to cart all of the stuff back to your room. There is a lot to carry and bags make it easier to collect and return when you are finished.

Shuttle buses Leave early to beat the 9.00am rush, it will cut your travel time in half. Some of the bus drivers will pick up and drop off at more flexible locations; much easier when you're lugging ski gear around.
