Top Local Tips for Sydney
Circular buses The 2 hop on/hop off circular buses are an excellent way to get an overview of Sydney. On covers the central area and other the outskirts and beaches such as Bondi. They are good value for money with a good commentary and helpful drivers. You get a day ticket which covers both routes.
Great Value Try lunch or dinner at Phillip's Foote on 101 George Street near The Rocks. For Aud 27.5 ( about £13) you get a choice of steak which you barbeque yourself, unlimited fruit and salad bar, and close to the main attractions at Circular Quay. Drinks are extra but the steaks ( they also do chicken and limited fish ) are really large and good quality.
Taxis are easily available, buses will take you everywhere Enjoy the wonderful harbourside restaurants at the Quay, Bondi, Watsons Bay, Rose Bay, Manly, Balmoral and walk from Bondi to Bronte which equals any panoramic view and rock area in the South of France. It is breathtaking.
