The hotel's literature proudly mentions million dollar views of the harbour, and they were right. The room from my room was very good. Indeed, I ate my room service breakfast watching an impressive view that took in the Sydney harbour Bridge, Darling Harbour and the Parramatta River.
A look has shown that the hotel seems to consist of an underground car park, a ground floor lobby/resturant area and the top 6 floors of a 15-floor tower. (the other floors are taken up with various businesses)
I've taken off a point for some minor chips, cracks etc in my room, the inaccessibility of the pool (at least in the mornings, and there may ahve been a reason for this I didn't know about) and an error in my bill made when checking out (this was quickly resolved) .
But this well-placed hotel on the North Shore remains very much recommended. I hope to go back there myself.

Crows Nest has lots of options and all are great Willoughby Road in Crows Nest (Sydney's North Shore) has tons of restaurants, cafes, bistros, and even some takeaway places. All are great, and worth checking out if you want to get out of Sydney for a half day -- you can walk to it from the Northern Line stops of Wollstonecraft or St. Leonards which are just a few stops outside of the CBD.

But if you get a room facing east, it's not so great. You get a view of the Pacific Highway and the North Shore instead, and the early morning sun shining in your face as well (unless you've really drawn the curtains tight). This also lasts at least one night, depending on how long you've booked.
Another grumble: the room breakfast service was not so great. My breakfast arrived very late.
At least the reception staff were nice and responsive people.
