Supermarket The Coles in Nelson Bay is very small and not well stocked. Go to Salamander Bay only 2 minutes away to the Woolworths or Bi-Lo.

Nothing worh seeing in this town, pass and go to Coffs Harbour or Sydney Dont stay at the Landmark Nelson Bay. Stay at a clean place where your trip wont be ruined by the lodging. Research your stay. They told me they were 1 hour from Sydney it was actually 4 hours.

One major negative factor putting a dampner on the stay was the noise factor. We were situated on level 1. The afternoon people could be heard walking, slamming the alluminium doors etc...from 7am the following morning there was nothing but the sound of people running, cars starting, plenty of glass bottles and other rubbish sliding through the Refuse Shute, elevator running then the cleaners doing their rounds. I would have thought they were wearing ear muffs as they discussed the previous nights activites. This was impossible to battle as my wife and I tried to sleep....never experienced this at any hotel...
I can certainly say that I will never be staying there ever again. It is a pity as the views and location collected with the features would make this a 100% holiday retreat. I'm sorry Landmark but for $200 a night I at least want a good nights sleep!!!!!!!
