Driving in the Top End If you are not on a planned tour, you need to really make sure that you know how to drive a 4x4 before venturing around Kakadu. It is not that difficult, but there are a few drinks that will help you a lot should you need to cross a river or go through a patch of sand.There are SO MANY amazing sights to see and you could save yourself a lot of time and hastle by reviewing a few simple principles. I found this site helpful www.4x4abc.com but I am sure there are many others out there.
Kakado Would reccomend the Yellow Creek boat trip plus scenic flight. Would also recommend you keep your options open and are flexible about how long you want to stay in any one part.
