It's a hole don't go there. Seriously, allot of the buildings around Alice are very grubby and dirty. Shop assistants around town are rude and ignorant. Todd Tavern is no exception. Oh and don't go into the bar entrance which faces the river - it's for blacks only. See all the natural wonders like Uluru etc, but take my advice and bypass Alice Springs.
