Rental Cars If you hire a Rental Car, make sure you get unlimited k's as its a long way between drinks to visit other places in the Red Centre. Also make sure you get a company that offers single vehicle insurance as there are lots of Roos out there, dead ones all along the sides of the roads. We were going to go with Alice Camp n Drive as they were cheap and offered unlimited k's but no single vehicle accident insurance so we went with Europecar [thru Territory Discoveries] and they were very good.

use private hire!!! when in alice springs use Tiny's Private Hire - once they know your in town for a holiday and that you will use them consistantly during your trip your fares will average to roughly $10 (AUS) whereever you go - they are clean, air conditioned , modern town cars with very friendly drivers
