This is a lovely hotel. We booked the Sunny from Perth on the recommendation of friends and when we arrived we found it was a different hotel. The original Sunny is in the Old Quarter or central Hanoi. The new Sunny is about 3km west on a pretty street with a lake opposite. It is very new, very European and very comfortable. Staff were helpful but unobtrusive. Breakfasts were good. Other guests were mainly French and German mature-age tour groups. There are good restaurants nearby - including baba, or turtle - which we avoided. It cost us about 50,000 dong, or five Australian dollars, to get a taxi into the centre. Recommended.
