I feel duty bound to tell you all what an exceptionally pleasent hotel this was. Staff were all very friendly, nice area, quiet and gentle and the rooms are done to a hugh standard. It has to be said one of the influences on my granting this hotel the full five is because I got such a great deal, however regardless of cost I give this hotel much regard and recommend it to absolutely everyone.

As a whole, we had very positive impressions of our staying at Splendid Star hotel, most of the staff were very helpful and friendly and did everything to make us feel like home. Service is decent and properties of the hotel look amazing.

What a wonderful hotel. We loved staying at Splendid Star Hotel. Andy and Tom are fabulous and helped with all of our Hanoi exploring and restaurants. It's like staying at someone's beautiful home. We've told all of our friends about Jay's. We've truly found our home in Hanoi.

The Splendid Star hotel is well located. It is quite safe to walk around the Hoan Kiem lake, which we did several times. Our room was very comfortable, with a king size bed and a small sitting area with sofa and TV. The bathroom was well appointed and the walk-in closet was large. Breakfast in the hotel is delicious with a good selection of Vietnamese and Western food choices. Overall, I enjoyed staying at the Peninsula very much, highly recommend it, and think that the location cannot be beat.

This is a great hotel. Most importantly the rooms were very clean and the bathroom looked brand new. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in the best position for buying clothing. The hotel is fantastic value for money with good room size. They have the usual free shampoo and soap, tooth bushes and combs. There is a convenience stall right next to the hotel. They give you free soft drinks and water daily. Breakfast was OK. Free internet using with LAN cable and WiFi everywhere inside. I will be back without a doubt. Thank you Splendid Star .

I gave this place 5/5 based on value for money. Stayed here for 2 nights in late March. I booked the room through this website. The staff were friendly and efficient and spoke surprisingly very good English. Room was grand with comfortable bed, large new bathroom, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious. Overall a terrific little hotel and I loved my stay here.

My son and I stayed at The Splendid Star hotel, in March 2009. The accommodations were luxurious and the service superb. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever experienced. We awoke every morning looking forward to breakfast. I didn't know there were hotels this nice in the world, and I've stayed in plenty!

We traveled in a group, and one of our rooms was upgraded to a suite, which was pretty spectacular. The regular room is fine in itself. Well decorated, with good amenities. Service is excellent. Most of the staff are always smile with the hospitality institute, and they were eager to provide service. Very helpful and a refreshing lack of attitude. The hotel located in the city center, convenient to the market and the restaurant street.

I stayed in Splendid Star hotel after staying in another hotel close by. The price was the same, however I could not compare the service at all. The staff and facilities at Splendid Star Hotel was 1st class. The reception was so friendly and organized anything that I needed. Nothing was too hard for the staff!
I recommend anyone staying in Hanoi to give this hotel a try and you will not be disappointed! I honestly believe that for the price you cannot find better value for money or warm friendly service!
