Excellent service in great locations
If I ever go back to Hanoi, I will make sure I go to Mikes hotel. The rooms are volymous and clean, fresh and with a great balcony overlooking the old quarter. In the middle of the greatest Vietnamese atmosphere, the kindness of the staff is excellent!
I would recommend Mikes hotel for anyone, no matter what age you are. The kindness and helpfullness of everyone at Mikes hotel has redefined my view on service, this is just more than excellent!

Great value
We stayed in Mikes Hotel Hanoi in November 2007. The staff we very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean, but the bed a was a little too hard for my liking. They arranged tours and ongoing travel for us in an efficient manner. They even got our bag fixed for us, as it broke in transit to Vietnam. Wonderful service. We feel this hotel is great value for money and we would recommend it. We would certainly stay there again, if we go back to Hanoi.

This is a new hotel that started operation in Oct 2007. I stayed for 3 nights in a double room. The room was very clean. There was no problem with the hot water in the room. It is located in Hanoi's very interesting old quarter (address: 1, Hang Phen).
I feel that the hotel staff were putting in a lot of effort in building a good reputation for the hotel. They were friendly and service was prompt.
This is the first time I visit Hanoi, and it was the second hotel I stayed in Hanoi. Mike's Hotel is much better in terms of value for money compared to the other hotel that I stayed.
I would recommend Mike's Hotel to my friends. It's probably not recommended by travel books yet because it is new, but I think it will be in future.
