| Grande Villas are cosy |
|
This is the 4th visit to this hotel, staying at the Grande villas flat & duplex. These rooms are only for 4 persons. My kids love the duplex as they like climbing up & down the stairs. This Sept, we were upgraded to the Pool villa, which had pool access. The kids loved the idea & were in the pool like thrice daily. Breakfast at Puccini was very good, with your own selection served plus a small buffet. The elephants walking around were nice. A new addition called Lily the baby elephant together with Yum Yum, the older elephant was a nice surprise. Beach is very clean & cool drinks provided by the hotel is definitely a plus. Kids could borrow DVDs anytime. The sad part was they stopped providing kids bathrobes. The Italian pizza is very good. |

I would note that when we stayed it was not peak season, and therefore not all restaurants and services were available. For example the Tea House restaurant did not open once in the 10 days we stayed, and the Hawker's Market is also obviously a high-season thing.
Staffs in the various “eateries” are always pleasant and helpful, and anyone traveling with small children (fewer than two) will find the staff is attracted to your child like moths to a light. (We didn't travel with a child, but noted th... Read more |
