Ok staff, rooms not so good, being as it is rated a 5 star hotel

The pool area is fantastic, although the food and drinks reflect English prices (strange, being we are in Thailand) Rooms are ok,but not 5 star as the hotel prompts. I do travel alot for business,so I do have a distinct impression of what 5 star is and is not
