Top Local Tips for Krabi

Spend a little more, get your own boat! If you can spring for it, hire a private speed boat (or at least longtail) and try to get out to some of the best island/beach sites early. Otherwise you'll be loaded onto a boat with other tourists, and not get the chance to see these beautiful places in a relaxing and serene way!

use the local restaurants We used the little beach bar right next to the hotel for drinks and lunch - they offer a large selection of Thai dishes cooked to order plus a few tourist options (steaks, burgers, pasta etc.) Outside the main entrance are a number of small bars and restaurants which are all excellent value. Wine in Thailand is overpriced and of indifferrent quality - the local beer (Chang or Singha) is a better bet and always ice-cold.

dont forget to barter always barter its fun and it gets you things cheaper
