I stayed here for about a week.The Staff was outstanding very respectful and helpful without being pushy. I followed most of their advice on where to go and things to do. This saved me a lot of trouble. It was close to night Market and sky train. They were knowledgeable on restaurants and other attractions in local area.I was not disappointed. When I return to BK, I will return here because of the level of people who work here.

Top Local Tips for Bangkok

getting around in Bangkok It may pay to book a hotel near the BTS (Skytrain), which is a quick and efficient way to get to the best shopping spots such as MBK, Siam, Paragon, Chatuchak market and Central Chitlom. If you find yourself in a hotel that is not close to the BTS, you may need to get taxis, which are very cheap (cheaper than the BTS, in fact, especially if there are a few in your party). Taxis are slower because of the traffic jams, particularly in peak hour. Families should be aware that most taxis do not have seat belts in the rear seat, which can be worrying, particularly when you consider the speed that taxis travel at on the numerous expressways. It is definitely safer to travel by the BTS, or the subway, or maybe catch a public bus if you can get hold of a bus map.

from airport to downtown the easiest way to get downtown is to take the big air con express bus. it cost 150b per person, and can drop you along most of the main roads. be aware that the blocks in Bangkok are fairly long so remember that if you are thinking about walking with your bags.
