My Take on The Oriental Singapore (24-26 Dec 2005)
Being a local, I tend to have higher expectation of Singapore hotels. Thus, I was very much pleased and happy with my stay at The Oriental.
1. Ambience -
The hotel has a very mordernistic and zen feel to itself. Being newly refurbished, the lobby feels roomy, neat and refreshing. A touch of warm lighting, infuses a very asia feel to the environment.
2. Hotel Staff -
One thing about the people working at The Oriental. They are polite and friendly. And most importantly, they are most willing to help and accomodate to your preference of rooms.
3. Room -
The room is very well kept with a shower as well as a bath tub. The is also a surround sound speaker system installed. Cool, and there is cable TV.
Guys, get the room with a harbour view. The scenery in the one that i was staying in was just excellent. You can see the Merlion and the Fullerton Hotel. And yes, i caught a wonderful sunset.
4. Try the melt cafe it's really good.
