Everything was great
Staying here was a magical experience, partly because I was greeted with an upgrade to a corner suite, and partly because the service, food and tranquility was brilliant. All the staff were delightful, and they smiled and spoke to you - wow, you don't get that in Europe very much. The breakfast was a smorgasbord of all the best in European, Chinese and local cuisine, with traditional English breakfast, continental cheeses, meats and pastries, Chinese dishes, fantastic fruits and juices, and much, much more. Moreover, I appreciated the fact that bottled water was supplied free of charge, and I could have as many as I wanted - how many hotels leave you to dehydrate in their over-heated rooms with nothing but bath water to drink? Not so here.
I couldn't fault the hotel during my week there, and the only reason that I haven't given it a 10/10 is because nothing can surpass a stay at the Hippo Point Pagoda outside Nairobi (Kenya).
