| Superb location |
| Mandarin Oriental is next door to Petronas Twin Towers and Suria KLCC, the shopping mall. It's a beautiful hotel. I would say the best location because every tourist would want to visit those famous buildings next door, without getting ripped off on the taxi fares. The view is spectacular at night - the silhouette of the Twin Towers etc. Coming out of the hotel main entrance, if you turn right and right again (walking towards the shopping mall), the first outdoor outlet (restaurant) you would see on your left is Aseana which serve nice Malaysian foods. Everytime I go to Malaysia, I must visit this place for some authentic Malaysian flavours that I sometimes miss. So, the hotel is great with its beautiful garden, the location is very good, food shouldn't be a problem since there are many nice restaurants in the shopping mall; many with outdoor seating facing a huge fountain. The service at MO was good when I went there for my afternoon tea. The clubbing area is not that far from the hotel (walking distance, say 10 to 15 minutes, if you are not wearing high heels!). In the shopping mall, there are high street shops like Topshop, M&S, Zara etc, food courts, a supermarket and of course some nice shops like Chanel, Hermes etc. |
