| Not what I have always believed |
|
I am quite a seasoned traveller and have been staying in quite a number of hotels in Malaysia, ranging from the 5 stars to below. The midvalley megamall has always been a must visit place whenever I am in KL and i used to stay in cititel several times during my visits. My recent stay was last week and I got the superior room, which I was informed by the receptionist had been upgraded from the standard status.I was so dissapointed because I paid RM235 per night and the room was so small.I have also been staying at the Boulevard hotel next door and i can tell you the vast differences. At Boulevard i paid RM225 and i got a great Superior room. The amenities provided in the cititel room was so depressing. The towels ought to be changed. The same goes for the pillows. The room looks quite gloomy and drab.I will stay at the Boulevard, your sister hotel, anytime I am in KL and looking forward to the opening of the Gardens. The staff at cititel are however very helpful and welcoming. Your assets are y... Read more |

Location: The location of the Cititel Midvalley is good since it is connected to the Midvalley MegaMall and by commuter train with Kuala Lumpur Main Station and Kuala Lumpur.
Rooms: Cititel Midvalley is offering 2 kinds of rooms: superior and deluxe. We were using the superior room. This included:
IDD with voicemail, Individually controlled air-conditioning and ceiling fan, Television, Coffee/tea making, facilities, Mini Fridge, Hair Dryer, Shower Stall
The room was generally not well maintained, dirty wallpapers and floor (especially under the bed), the tiles in the bathroom were dirty and some black.
Food: Breakfast was included and the variety average. It was a crowded.
Price: Average price range.
Others: Please be aware that the health spa offers more services (xxx) than a health spa in Europe or US. This will be even more obvious during after work hours.
Overall: if you care about the location, the lower price compared to the Boulevard hotel next door and that you have a pl... Read more |

| Good shopping location |
|
Reasonably cheap. The hotel is situated in the Mid Valley Mall, a vast shopping complex. For an all day walk in the Mall, the hotel is really a convenient stop. The rooms were however quite small, but then again if you just need a rest and catch up with some sleep, this place is good enough. The morning breakfast however, is a little chaotic with too many guest in a small restaurant. |
