| A hilly treat |
|
I always love the Fraser's Hill. The clock tower, the greenery and the winding road to get to the Smokehouse. I think this is one of the best places to go to when you want to escape from Kuala Lumpur without having to suffer a long journey. From the City, it takes probably about one and a half to two hours by car. The Smokehouse is a detached Tudor-copy house, sitting on a hill top surrounded by some nice gardens. It has several sitting rooms with fireplaces (fireplaces are probably not in use for fear of fire/too much work for today's hectic lifestyle). These little rooms which offer some privacy, are perfect for some light reading just before going to the main dining room for your dinner. Nice rooms, nice linen, quite spacious. It could be very lonely with almost nothing to do if you stay for too long (I would recommend 2 nights max), unless you are in a group & adventurous. |
