Smoker's paradise

This hotel has two room sizes, small and smaller. I stayed in both on my first trip to Japan. Both rooms reeked of cigarette smoke. The smell of cigarettes was in the drapes, carpet, walls, and even the mattress. It was so bad that I had the hotel staff change the drapes and I bought a bottle of Fabreeze for the room. In three days I used almost the entire bottle of Fabreeze. I'm an ex smoker and the smoke really bothered me. I've vowed to never again stay at this hotel.
