A Quiet Hide-A-Way In Tokyo
I cannot say enough good things about the Mansions at Roppongi. They are quiet, discreet and very accommodating. It would be easier to point out one small negative: They were hard to find. Make sure you have explicit directions.
Beyond that keep in mind that these are apartments meant for longer stays so the lobby is not as luxurious as one might expect from a hotel BUT I prefer the quiet reception area of the Mansions. The interiors of the apartments were so immaculately and efficiently constructed that I actually took pictures. The price is stiff for people not used to Tokyo prices but then there are several sites offering reduced rates. All-in-all I was VERY impressed and have recommended it often.
Aside from being a little difficult to find, the amenities at the hotel were superb. The generous space, the up to date furnishings were very appreciated. Normally Japanese hotel rooms are miniscule, The Mansions' rooms were huge compared to others we've stayed in Japan.
