One of the things that appealed to me most about the New Miyako Hotel when I was looking for a hotel in Kyoto, was its superb location. Many places of interest were within walking distance from the hotel and as it was situated opposite Kyoto station it was an ideal base from which to make excursions to other cities. It was also convenient to be near to the station due to its wonderful shopping centre and it's wide range of restaurants. The staff in the hotel were helpful and friendly and the food in the French restaurant was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay there again.
