I recently stayed at the Hotel Nikko Niigata for 5 days to attend a conference at Tokki Messe. I had an excellent view from my room looking over the Shinano River. It was very clean, comfortable and convenient. It was awesome. I found the staff very, very helpful and they went the extra mile despite the language difference. There are some of the front desk staff that speak and understand english well. I went during the period of Ramadaan and i found them to be very accomodating with my meal to allow me to have something halaal and nutritious after breaking my fast. They really tried to make my stay as comfortable as possible and SUCCEEDED!!! I strongly recommend the Hotel Nikko Niigata!!

I enjoyed my short stay at this hotel. Found it through the internet and highly recommend to budget tourists travelling light. The hotel is ideally located near the Nishikasai train station. Along with this station is a shopping strip with loads of eateries and convenience stores. I took the express bus from airport on arrival and also to airport on my last day. Hotel is clean but small. Has all amenities you would expect. Staff speaks English and are helpful.
