The hotel is just 10 mins from the downtown Sudirman, Thamrin area, but you will ususally need 20-30 mins due to the traffic jams. The rooms are terrible, unless you request for rooms on the 11th or 12th floor which are renovated. The non-renovated rooms smell horribly, with very old furnishings and not-so-clean toilet (this is a 30-year old hotel). Buffet breakfast is okay, esp if you don't take much. But variety is not as good as other international hotels in jakarta such as Hotel Nikko, Le Meridien or Crown Plaza. If you purchase a club room, or upgrade to a club floor, you will be quite disappointed with the lounge. Only a few tables, with lousy food. All in all, not for romantic endeavour, only for very short business stay.
