I stayed at the Alkapuri Express and I will never stay there again. When we arrived at around 7 in the evening we were told there were no rooms availabe apart from super deluxe rooms at R4500 per night. We decidec to go to another hotel when deluxe rooms were mysteriously made available at R3500. As the waiter brought our luggage I noticed that there was no water in the room . I asked the waiter to bring the water when he said that I needed to buy the water at R35 per bottle. He then would not leave until I tipped him. The bathroom was so poor in a delux room and the towels definately left soomething to be desired. The free toiletries were a complete shambles. When I complained to reception no reaction from them or any apology. I stayed in other hotels after that especially in Swaroop Villas in Udaipur and Hilock Hotel in Mount Abu and found them to be delightful hotels. A very good businss hotel in the heart of the city. Has a very good Gujarati Restaurant. otherwise also the food is good and the staff is very cooperative.. great work... keep it up..
