i had stayed in the hotel earlier as well some 1 and 1/2 yrs back, than i found it pretty good and that is why i decided to stay there again but it was only tariff that they have given hike to but no rise in standard and services.
i discovered a cockroch in my dinner though it got changed but that sence of unhygiene rested with me. at the time of checking in, in late evening, the person at reception was completely unrecptive. i was given a feeling like i was staying there for free and probably would get paid when i leave.
the rooms which used to be fine were now not even in fair condition and wot to talk about washroom and air conditioning!!!
room service was bad enough to make me put leela regency out of my hotel list in my future visits to shimla.

Guys... never go to this hotel ,U should not even think of considering this for a stay. There is no sense of HOSPITALITY among the staff right from the manager level to the end .....be it the restaraunt manager or the waiter every single person has no idea what a Hotel In dustry is all about. The rooms are dirty with stinky toilets. The Hotel lobby looks like a congested weathered place with dirt all around. No sense of cleanliness........I seriously fail to understand Is it a hotel or low grade typical DHARAMSHALA. I would rate DHARAMSHALAS also better than this hotel.This was "THE WORST HOLIDAY EXPERIENCE" of my lifetime.

The ambience of the restaurant as well as the rooms is poor even though the rooms are spacious and offer very good vally views. The staff is discourteous and least willing to satisfy the customers. We reached there at 2PM only to find our pre-paid, pre-booked rooms not ready for check-in. After waiting for almost an hour, we got 1 out of the 2 rooms ready. The interiors were stinking, unclean. Our mini bar was not serviced and we had to ask room service to fill it up. We again had to ask room service for our welcome drink and fruit basket (part of our MAP package). They could not provide the fruits till late evening. The blankets and quilts were dirty and we had to ask for their replacement. They provided an electric kettle but it did not work and was stinking. The centrally controlled AC system was dismal and we had to spend 2 nights by keeping a pedestal fan switched on throughout the night (and this was in the month of Aug). Dont ever go this hotel, the hotel overcharged me at the time of checkout. Poor service and pathetic treatment, the employees was on strike in front of the hotel when i arrived.

I stayed here on a business trip. While the rooms offer a commanding view of the hills, the receiption and access to room is cramped and spooky. Room decor and comfort is good but the hygene in Bathrooms needs a lot of improvement.
