There is no doubt in my mind that the food at baluchi at the lalit new delhi is the best i have had for years. Although i guess they could renovate Baluchi a bit.In fact i was told they will be doing so.
The hotel itself is great looking with plenty of space and good and professional staff.
Imust say that my wife and I had a great four days at the hotel.

My work has never taken me to North India so I have never been to Delhi. This time I business meeting took me to Delhi and I checked into The Lalit-a new brand name for me but it was an excellent luxury hotel. Very professional staff which responded quickly to all requests at its business centre or when I wanted a vehicle to take me for my meeting. The internet connections in the room are fast so that was a great help. Very comfortable and attractive room too. Too bad I couldnât test out all the food outlets although the buffet breakfast at 24/7 was very elaborate and good. I have plans of visiting Delhi on a pleasure trip soon with family and will stay at the Lalit again.

For anyone the first trip to any Indian city will give the impression that Delhi is so crowded. There are so many people in this city. So hereâs a suggestion. Book yourself in Connaught place area, where there are very good hotels. I stayed at a hotel called, the Lalit and it was beautiful.. So big and spacious and comfortable. And best of all it is so near to the heart of the city. You have major shopping complexes nearby. There is a trade fair ground quite near. And the historic India gate is also close by. The hotel also had very good food outlets. And there is this underground tube called Metro that is quite convenient to travel to so many places. Perfect location. And a very good hotel.

When hotel staffers go out of their way to make an injured man feel better, it warms ones hearts. When I reached Delhi, I tripped down the stairs at the airport and sprained my ankle pretty badly. Somehow I hobbled to the taxi and headed to this hotel The Lalit where I had booked into. They must have seen me limp out of the taxi and two staffers of the hotel quickly took charge of my luggage while another two helped me out and into a wheel chair. I was asked to sit comfortably while the check in facilities were done and a doctor checked the ankle and the tied it up with a bandage. Iâm around 70 years of age and was traveling alone. But I can tell you those three days I did not feel as if I was alone. Someone was always there to help me. The ankle was fine a couple of days but the hotel treated me very affectionately enquiring about my well being and helping out. The hotel itself was brilliant, good food and great décor. But for me it was the affectionate care that they took of me, that will stay for a long time. Thank you The Lalit.

Possibly the largest and the most luxury oriented rooms I have ever seen in all my stays in hotels. Thatâs what makes The Lalit New Delhi very special. One can roam around the room without knocking into anything. I have stayed in luxury hotels abroad as well but rarely have I seen so much spaciousness. Add a really tasteful décor in the room and artistically designed interiors and you get an idea. The Lalit itself is a prime hotel, in the middle of Delhi. Excellent food and interiors and a very prompt service. The hotel uses Toyota Corolla cars in their vehicle service which ensures comfortable transfers to airport. Excellent place, sure to get a guest staying here once, back.

you cannot possibly find better looking rooms anywhere else then in this hotel. The best thing is that they are so large. plenty of rooms, good paintings and decor. Very exciting bathroom ( it had glass walls) Since we were on a honeymoon and had stayed here in Delhi on our way to Singapore, we did not have to much time. but two days were pretty good. Nice food and service too. next time we hapen to be here in Delhi, will definately stay much longer. Its expensive but worth every penny.

My primary reason for checking into The Lalit New Delhi was because I had made several trips to the groupâs hotel---The Lalit Ashok--- in my home town Bangalore. The staff at Lalit Ashok Bangalore had always been extremely pleasant and hospitable so when a business visit took me to Delhi I decided to book into The Lalit New Delhi. And immediately realized that the good hospitality culture ran in the entire group. There were smiles all the way and even the room service attendant who I summoned at 2 Am in the morning came in with a smile. That felt really nice. Now Delhi is a city I hadnât been to for nearly a decade so when I made some enquiries about where all I could go, the hotel staff went out of their way to help. When I expressed a desire to go to Chandni Chowk, a staffer even recommended that rather then use a taxi I should use the Delhi Metro since it would be quicker and easier. And it was. The hotel itself is quite grand and luxurious with some really great food outlets and an absolutely amazing lobby. Its so artistic and fancy. Great place for a stay!

Most travelers tend to give far too much importance to the luxuries that most of these five star hotels offer across the world. But I believe that small gestures are what make a hotel special. Which is why I must share this experience at The Lalit New Delhi. A day after me, my wife and daughter landed in New Delhi and checked into The Lalit New Delhi hotel, it was my wifeâs birthday. We had had a pretty comfortable 24 hours at the hotel, enjoying the good food and reveling in the comfort that the hotel room had to offer in plenty. But while we were having a quiet dinner I think my daughter may have spoken out aloud about it being my wifeâs birthday. Just as we had finished dinner, the manager of the restaurant came up to us with a beautifully decorated cake and a bouquet of flowers. We were taken aback. And even more so when he placed the cake on the table, and lighting the candle, offered my wife the flowers. My wife was really touched. When she cut the cake, a number of other staffers at the restaurant joined me and my daughter in clapping. It was very nice and beautiful, I can tell you and our hearts really warmed up for the hotel. We havenât had that kind of treatment anywhere in the world.

saw some other reviews so i decided i must dash of my expereinces on the hotel Lalit New delhi too.
My problem whenever I come to India and New Delhi is always food. Much as Indian food may have been relished by a lot from my country, for some reason I have always been selective about what I eat. I like my food like they prepare it back home and this creates a problem. But this visit to New Delhi solved this problem for good. While admiring the graceful interiors of The Lalit New Delhi, I enquired about continental food outlet. And true enough my experience at 28th the Grill, the specialty restaurant at The Lalit is likely to stay with me for a long time. Food just like I like it and what a view from this top floor restaurant where you could see almost the entire city. High above Delhiâs noisy traffic. And to top it all there was another restaurant called Woks. And believe me food in both these outletsâChinese and continental was exquisite---as was the décor of the outlets. There was a stream running through the restaurant at Woks with fish swimming in it---very exotic!
My stay at The Lalit was made memorable as I checked out both these restaurants repeatedly. And loved every visit. Great food!

The first word that comes into your mind when you swing into the glass doors is wow. What a lobby! The Lalit New Delhi in its earlier avatar Intercontinental the Grand had a somewhat darkish lobby. But now the lobby is amazing. That waterfall gently falling by the side and those antique bronze statues, really gave it a fancy look. I was prepared to accept that this was all the fancy stuff I would get. But I was wrong. The rooms were even better. Large, roomy, with a glass walled bathroom and a massive plasma TV. I had a great time staying at The Lalit New Delhi for four days. Good food specially The Baluchi food, very interesting bar (thank God it was big and spacious). Oh and by the way donât miss Rejuve, their spa which is really something. Good work hotel staff too. Thanks for making it a good experience for me and my wife.
