Convenient location
The Hotel Gold Regency is a two-minute walk to the main New Delhi train station. That is its chief advantage. Pick-up service at the airport is a real convenience. Climbing the many steps from the street to the lobby is a hassle, at least with baggage. Rooms are clean, though plumbing leaks were a problem in my bathroom. There was no business center, as advertised, when I was there -- but only a single, dial-up computer in the lobby. The restaurant is OK,
The worst feature was noise: a disco operates on weekends and the pounding sounds reached three floors up to my room.

What a shock
What a shock when I woke up the next morning. It's located in the middle of a shopping bazaar. 1 block away from the railway station. At 9 in the morning, it was extremely busy. The shops across the street, (if you call it a street) were about 8ft across and the traffic of people, cars anything that moves was amazing. The staff was very helpful when we wanted to find another place. The rooms were ok there were mothballs everywhere for the cockroaches so the smell was overpowering.
