Double check fees
The service is quite inequal at the hotel and the night staff is really bad. It is better to double check fees and tariffs for everything (tours, cars, rooms). The rooms are comfortable though and the hot water and sit-down toilet is a plus.

Highly satisfied
My satisfaction during the duration of my stay at Ajanta Hotel, New Delhi, has prompted me to take the time to recommend this hotel. I have stayed at many budget hotels in the world and I found the quality of service present at Ajanta parallel to international standards. For a frequent traveler like me I always appreciate good service. The hotel has two restaurants, one on the terrace with great views of the old city. The rooms seem plentiful and are comfortable in every sense. I honestly feel you should suggest this hotel to travelers coming into India, as it deserves credit.

Clean budget hotel
I am in the middle of my Indian holiday right now. I thought I would write to tell you about Hotel Ajanta. It is the hotel that I stayed in while I was in Delhi. There are many other budget hotels in this area but after having searched a lot, I found Ajanta to be the best. It is run by an Indian family, I met the owner who is a very warm man. The staff are very friendly and are willing to you help you with everything. My room was extremely clean and tidy, with a hygienic attached bath. There was a small balcony (not the best view) but still it was nice to witness the local Indian life. I tried the restaurant, which was good, even though I am not a connoisseur of Indian food. I think you should inform travelers who ask for suggestions on budget hotels about Ajanta Hotel, as I am well pleased.

False Promises and Poor Service
I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. I would have moved to another hotel after the first night but for the fact that the hotel front desk tricked me in to paying for all the 4 nights before I checked in. I was given a room with no window. There was no ventilation at all and the carpet was wet. The whole room would stink. If the power went out, the A/C would not work and we would have no hot water. The house keeping was erratic and lousy. Everyday I had to call multiple times to have the room cleaned. The rest room was not cleaned even once in spite of my repeated requests. The computers wouldn't work properly. I wanted some print outs of pdf files that were on my memory stick but some machines did not have Acrobat reader. Those that had wouldn't recognize my memory stick. And the one that had Acrobat reader and was able to open the file from my memory stick wouldn't print. I struggled for more than an hour and gave the computer room assistant a piece of my mind before I could get a few...Read more

Ok OK
The hotel was just ok. I found that the location of the hotel made it on low side otherwise all was fine. I think that this upcoming hotel should be shifted to some other place.
