Price is quite affordable, and it is very close to the Back gate of Mysore Palace. Behind this hotel you can find Mysore Silk Emporium and the way to Chamundi hills is very close from this hotel. A good hotel to stay in. Note : no filtered water is available in this hotel . Please carry your water .

On arrival the staff looked like they had a really rough day. Hence they treat you like cattle. There are deluxe and luxury rooms. The latter of which are more expensive (900 rps). On arrival there are no towels nor soap in the room. Reception looked at me like I was insane asking them for a towel!? TV program is showing a lot of snow and there was lipstick and chewing tobacco on the curtains and wall. Sorry, but this is one place you do not want to stay.

My stay was a few years ago, I was at the end of my travel in India and my stay at Hotel Roopa was enjoyable and memorable. Great staff and very homely accommodation. Hope to go back soon !
