Best Hotel in Mumbai
My stay at The Leela Hotel was one of the best and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a clean, friendly hotel in Mumbai. There are 3 restaurants, One Indian, One Chinese and one Italian. I had business guests and we had meals in the India and Chinese restaurants, very good food, very friendly staff. There is also a pool where one can relax, the staff is also very friendly there. The business center has 2 computers but had no problem in using it to check my emails or communicate with my company. The room I had was very clean, with very nice furniture and the latest flat screen TV. The breafast room is really nice with a very big selection of food. There are 3 cooks on hand that can make what ever you want on demand. I can only recommend The Leela Hotel, very nice and a well deserved 5 stars rating

Appalling- will never stay there again!
I am writing to inform you about my recent stay at the Leela in Mumbai. My family and I arrived there around the 29th Dec'06 to stay for a few days prior to our departure for the UK. We had specifically requested an extra bed since there were four of us, 2 adults and 2 children. This was confirmed by the hotel. On arrival we found out that there were no such arrangements available and furthermore your the staff did little or nothing to assist. Despite several requests, nothing was sorted. My wife and I took in turns to sleep on the couch for the 2 nights we were there. We were absolutely appalled by this treatment. Our misery did not end there. We decided to have our evening meals in the hotel and on both occasions our food was brought out wrong, not what we had ordered! We then had to wait a further 45 minutes before our correct food actually arrived! Great hotel, staff, everyone from breakfast room to reception everything
Everything was tops... I recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to travel. yes its far from the city centre.... but its the best way to be....
away from daily traffic.... taxis' are at hand 2047....
