Excellent food, staff, support etc............

I had such an excellent time here. I ordered some chinese food in my suite, and I was amazed by the room service and the food. They also had a very good buffet in their cafe place. The staff had helped me see places around the city of mumbai. The best part was that I got an excellent service for both airport drop and pick-up. all I got to say is hats off hotel rang sharda. I can't wait to go back to this hotel this and next year. I hope I will have an excellent time again.

Far overpriced at Rs 6,000 for a single. You can find a much nicer place for just Rs 8,000 closer to the airport. Next to the slums and stinky river. Hotel says its a 4 star, but in actual fact a 1 star.

After traveling from Los Angeles to Mumbai for about 30 hours I arrived at the Mumbai airport around 4:30 A.M. I was picked up by the hotel shuttle which is not free like other hotels but you had to pay for it. You also have to pay for breakfast unlike other hotels. As soon as the shuttle turned on to the street where the hotel was located I was shocked to see that there were piles of trash on both sides of the hotel building and the residents of the area were also using the sides of the hotel building for disposing their trash. There were also illegal encroachments by the hotel building. The surrounding area of Hotel Rang Sharda is filthy and not maintained at all. The building of the hotel itself looks more like a jail than a hotel. There are no decorations or ornaments in the lobby and it is also very small. The room they gave me had a very unpleasant odor that was overbearing and the room was also suffocating. I was dead tired but because of the odor and the suffocation in the room I went to the reception to straighten things out. However, the people at the reception didn’t care what I had to say and ignored me. I sat in the lobby for 2 hours before the nightshift clerk said that he would open all the windows in my room and spray some air freshener so I can go to my room. After that I went to my room only to find out that they bed and carpet were both filthy. They hadn’t even changed the bedding from the last time they gave it out. So I sat on a chair until 2:30 P.M when my hosts came to check in on me and I told them the situation. They complained to the manager who after a while agreed to allow us to change rooms. The next room they gave me was a little better however the electrical outlet for shaver in the bathroom didn’t work. They sent the electrician who said it couldn’t be fixed. The receptionist called my room to tell me that visitors were not allowed in rooms and my hosts had to leave the room. After 8 days of stay on the last day I asked my wife, who was staying with her parents, to help me pack my stuff but they did not allow her to go to my room. My wife called over the manager ( mr Stainley)and asked why she couldn’t go after much arguing he said that my wife could go up for 45 minutes and afterwards she had to go to the manager’s room and report to him that she was back. When I was checking out, I noticed that they had charge me for calls that didn’t even go through. The customer service at Hotel Rang Sharda is nonexistent. Everyone is rude. This is one hotel that I would never want to stay in again. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
