Woolen clothes Dont forget to carry wollen clothes even during summers because weather can change anytime and is mostly cold.
River rafting On the road from Manali to Kullu one can spot many boards announcing the thrills of river rafting. Not a good idea to stop in the middle and try to fix something as the rafting is actually done somewhere else. Also difficult to recognize touts from genuine organisers. There is place in Kullu called Baddi (not sure if i have spelt it correctly) where the rafting is actually done. Would suggest you go there and negotiate the price well. Also, do not carry a camera, wallet, watch with you as these will have to be left behind while you go for rafting. As there are no secure lockers where you have to leave your stuff behind - its a good idea to leave it back at the hotel than risk losing it.Avoid specs also. Just carry some money in a plastic / waterproof casing. Do not wear leather footwear unless you want to ruin it completely. Need to carry a change of clothes also.
