Visit to Rotang If you visit Manali, a visit to Rotang pass is a lifetime rememberance. Rotamg is open only during summers and closed during winters. The entire journey to Rotang is very scenic and mesmerizing. One should ensure that they start early in the morning before 6 AM. This will help avoid the traffic congestion that happens at the pass. You will reach Ritang - snow point by 9 AM and the car will take you right up to the spot. If you start late, the car will drop you arond 3-5 KMs away from the spot and one will have to walk or take a horse ride to the point. It is very cold out there and one can get snow suits & boots on rent at the base for arond Rs.350 per person. Also start early around 11AM-12PM so that you can beat the traffic back and reach Manali on time for other activities.
