Would not want to go again even if it was the last place on earth
I had been to Golden Sun Hotel and Beach Resort from Dec 22 to Dec 24, 2007. Initially I had taken a Cottage, but once enetering the cottage I had to rush back to the receiption asking for a change of room since the room was stinking, toilets was blocked. Then I took a Suite, for 3300 per day plus taxes, the room was spaciuos, again the toilets had problems. Worst was the service, I had to make 4 calls in a span of 2 hours to get towels in the room (they never provided a soap nor shampoo), the room service was pathetic (I do not have any other word to describe). No breakfast included in the package, so you need to shell out about Rs 100 per head for a breakfast. The food was kind of good, but I would never want to visit this place again in my life. I had read the other posting, but never took it seriuosly, but after going there I got to understand what they really meant. You have guys asking you directly on your face for TIPS... Bad Service and Bad attitude of the staff.

I dunno what the earlier folks were complaining about.. but
I had a blast..!! Extremely reasonably priced and the seafood was YA-MMYY!. The beach..the pool..the healthclub.. pretty nice pad..

The worst place to be to..
The rooms are bad and u can find lizards too, water clogs in the bathrooms and service is very poor...Had a bad experience and never ever will I go there.

The most horrible experience I have ever had
Unimaginably high tariff, poor condition of rooms (I did not think that being closer to nature meant sharing the room/food with rodents), filthy bathrooms... the list is never ending

Golden Sun Hotel is one of the most Beautiful Hotels & Resorts I have visited in the world! It brings u closer to nature!! I have my own memories which I will never forget in my lifetime!!!....chickooopie@yahoo.co.uk
