First we had a mix feeling as we were first time coming to goa , as to how the hotel will be but tell you very few time my husband make the right decision, which is this one of them. We had our holiday to is best , every thing was good, whether it was room , food, service, entertainment. Again in dec we have planning to come to mellorosa

This is to the second time our stay in mellorosa. There are lots of change they have done in this season, a new restaurant is also open for english food. This year also we had good time

Mello Rosa is peaceful place with hamock and swing to add to the peace and tranquility.
Why does a Kingfisher skim a fishless pool--there are plenty birds in and aroung the resort.
Monkeys and peacocks behind.
The rooms are clean and minimal but fully equipped. Enviornmentally friendly--Hot water from solar panels, waste water is recycled for gardening and the rooms constructed to avoid direct sunlight.
Food, entertainment and pool was excellent.
I would highly recommend Mello Rosa for a peaceful enjoyable holiday.

Tell you what: Mellarosa is the worst resort I have stayed during whole of my life. We had booked 2 rooms for 4Nights at this resort from 28th December 08 - 1st January 2009 but the first day was such a bad experience that we decided to change the hotel immediately. next day we went to sunkissed resort. you all will be amazed that we paid 12,000 rupees extra as cancellation charges for rest of our booking. the hotel is old, worn out and stinking everywhere. we could hear every conversation of the guests in our next room. the breakfast was so pathetic that we ledt the restaurant without having it. we just wanted to spend the 1 night anyhow & leave the place immediately next morning. the family who owns the resort (dmello) just wants to make money anyhow without providing any kind of service.... dont make the mistake of staying here. within the same range or paying a bit extra you will get much better hotel

This hotel was a dump! Those writing bad reviews were justified as it had a lot of mold and lots of things were broken when we arrived. However after about a month the rooms were doneup, repainted and most of the broken things repaired. The pool is lovely and the resort is relaxing as it's not too much in the centre of party town Calangute. A good price for a much improved resort.

What a horrible place! I read the review above but thought, well that's just one person's opinion. Pls don't even consider this place. We didn't even stay one night! We rented a driver & found a real 3 star hotel 10 mins away which was on the beach!(La Calypso, Baga Beach, Panjim Goa) Mella Rosa's staff were jerks & our friend's room smelt horrible. Their mattress smelt like urine no lie! There was mold on our ceiling, the handle for the shower was falling off. I thought maybe I was being a spoilt american, but when we went to the front desk, an Indian couple was complaining about the condition, I agreed we needed to get outts here. Your room key activated the power in the room, which meant when you left the room, your ac shut off. So you would come back to your room after a long day of sight seeing to it being hott & humid! The internet office they had didn't work. All the pics you see of this place online, are mainly of the pool which was sorta decent but deceiving. The rest of the place was run down. I am posting real pics of the rooms. We asked the front desk if there were better rooms, & they said all of them were the same. Don't even consider this place. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Travelers be warned!!!!

I had stayed there on 31st Dec, 2004. One of the worst 3 days of life for which I paid. & the most frustrating thing is that Maharaj (a Gujju chef) prepares the food over there

What a surprise, crafty builder of this resort who has many consumer court and EOW (Economic Offense Wing) cases pending against him for allegedly embezzeling gullible investors money, has managed to get exposure on such a nice forum.
Rs. 2500/night is way too expensive. You could cut your bill to 1/2 or so by contacting owners direct whose flats this guy is renting anyways NOT giving them anything or throwing some peanuts.
If you are crazy about GOA whether you are from India, UK or a middleman contact me so that folks can get to stay for cheaps and owners of this condos/flats can get their money. Let me know what are your travel dates. Longer duration is preferable for middlemen. I will try to post contact #s of owners if site permits so world community can benefit with cheaper rates and not make this cheat rich!!
