One of the worst places I have stayed in...

If you are looking for a place to stay while in Chennai, please keep this in mind - steer clear of Nirmala Dakshin. I made the mistake of booking rooms in this hotel (rooms?! I could make out just one room in the hotel that was worth staying in) when I had a time crunch. I googled some decent hotels in Chennai and this hotel popped up. The hotel itself is located in a very broken down, dilapidated and dusty building. A few rooms of the building are occupied by the hotel and that's it. There is a small lobby and as far as I could see, there was only one room which was worth occupying. We did not like it at all and cleared out as soon as possible. The one and only advantage (as the reviews will truthfully tell you) is that it is situated close to the LIC building and is practically in the heart of the city.

This is a real old building and the room interiors have grown really old. Except for it's location advantage, hotel in itself has nothing to make it good.
