Arrogant unhelpful owner
I stayed at Varma beach resort having read many good reviews however was sadly disappointed. Booking a room was rather difficult as the staff member I dealth with was quite rude. The pool was quite nice, and the location good, however the cleanliness was quite questionable. Several small insects were found in matresses, I beleive these bit me during the night. As there are many options in Calangute beach, I would look elsewhere, unless on a very tight budget.
