Theft at the hotel, untrained & noncooperative staff
I had the opportunity to stay at the hotel on 24 April 2007 after my 5 day stay at Jay Pee Hotel in Agra. Holiday Inn one of the worst experiences to have. Right at the time of Check-in ,the keys were handed over to my group of 10 people with not even a single stewart accounmping to help open the room doors and instruct on electrical fitting in the hotel.
None of the group members could open the door with the key even after swiping key many time and only a help was seeked after 5 minutes of Frustration. It continued as, the televison at my Room no. 506 was not working due to Electrical malfunction. Amazingly hotel had no clue before they checked-in the guest.
The Whole team sat for light drinks & Dinner at around 10 : 00 in the evening at room no. 509 and the Hotel room service stewarts kept on moving in and out of the room for supplies till 2 :00 in the night .

Bad stay, Dishonest staff, poor management
BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT!! This hotel is the worst I have stayed so far in my life. Rooms are dirty, towels are dirty (as mentioned by other reviewers also). They stole my sports coat (worth $100+) between front desk and my room, when asked, one (out of 2) of the bell boy simply denied that he even saw the coat while other bell boy could confirm that they had a coat for the delivery in my room at the time of arrival. I further complained to the line manager and they simply shrugged by saying oh! it is just lost. Hello! aren't you going to do something about this? Answer was flat no. I called Holiday Inn 800 number from India, 1-800-423-0908 and the lady assured me some action, but so far I haven't heard back from any of them. So I am assuming my coat has been lost. I would stay away from this hotel and won't fall for a cheap price at all, because of dishonest staff and unresponsive management. Rather I would pay little higher and have a peace of my mind.
