Top Local Tips for Shanghai

South Beauty Try the soft-shelled crabs at South Beauty, excellent dining. Also Attica night club was a lot of fun for a 30-40 business crowd of mixed ethnicities. Old Town was fu to walk through, Buy pearls only at Fengui for quality, Nanjing road at night is exhilarating, there are Starbucks everywhere for great coffee, Shanghai museum ming vases was of interest, Buy shoes at Mandarin. Walk the Bunde river front, the view of Pudong is amazing.

Don't worrya about transportation take taxis, they are cheap

Finding your hotel from airport Taxi drivers don't necessarily understand english. It will be a lot less of a headache if you are able to bring a printout of the hote you are going to or have it written in chinese. I spent more than 10 minutes with the taxi coordinator at the airport trying to explain where I was going.
