I visited Kowloon in July 2007 and stayed at the Mayfair for 2 nights. While the staff could have been friendlier (they were not bad just a bit "cold") the room was fine, a triple with good bedding and great bathroom. True, the tv channels are useless to non-Chinese but on holiday who wants to spend time in front of tv when ther's so much to do in town? Hotel facilities are fine. Rooms are cleaned up faultlessly.
Breakfast was too limited. There's a super indonesian restaurant on the same street and many other possibilities. A hotel my family and I will return to. Definitely.

My mom and I stayed there for 2 days. Customer service is OK. Clean up is fast and good. If ever I'll visit Hong Kong again I’ll stay there. Good on budget.

This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in. From the website, it looks ok. But after stepping into the hotel, I really got a shock. Outside the hotel, it stated, Undergoing major renovation. The street is full of those "villas". Quite turn off i must say. Convenience is important but having a pleasant stay is even more important. Sighh. Would rather pay more than to stay there. Stained carpet, Full of algae door handle, Mouldy smell, Torn towels. U name it u have it. Really mad at the tour agency for introducing such a gd hotel. They must have gotten a fat commission from the hotel. Arghhh... Lots of Singaporeans stayed there. Thanks to our considerate tour agencies.

I was told by the agent that the hotel has finished renovations. However when i reached the hotel, there were still some scaffoldings at the hotel entrance. The room was small, it was said to be the norm for hk hotels... once i stepped in, i was quite surprised by its size. the size was 2/3 of normal hotel rooms. The bathroom door was not in good condition. it was a sliding door but damaged at the bottom, hence it was termed 'flying door' by my travel mate. there was no lock for this bathroom door. my hongkong friend was surprised with the door. I assume the bathroom shower glass panels were new. they were ok. Toilet roll was almost out of supply during check in, which my mate has to specially request for a new one. Bed was comfortable, but the aircon was too cold. even tho there was a temperature adjustment knob, we could only switch it off at times for some warmth. Tv programmes were limited to hk and china channels. Location is good for its proximity to jordan station.
