Great services and one of the most friendliest people i' ve ever met. My tours and transports to Angkor attractions were arranged with hassle free and at very good value for money. As I came to Cambodia over land from Poipet Border. I checked and found out the transfer info on the Kool hotel website. I also asked the hotel to arranged this leg transfer for me as I heard all about the border scams and I did not want to experience them. My room are modern, very clean and spacious for what I have paid. Breakfast included, you could select food from their menu and there are also unlimited fruits and toast available for your free breakfast, this is just great to start my day! Dinner and lunch are also very affordable, well-presented, and came with great Cambodian taste. I hardly went out to the Pub street to have my meals as I had my little oasis here at the Kool Hotel restaurant. Also I have to mention, the hotel salt water pool is a perfect place to sip some Angkor beers and cool yourself down after long and tired (however fantastic!) day at the temples.

My husband and I have been travellers for about 15years and our stay at the Kool Hotel is definitely a fantastic experience that we will never forget! We were pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly greetings we had on arrival and were given a welcome drink with a delicious fruit platter. The staff then sat down with us and answered all our questions we had (it was our first time to Cambodia). the hotel itself was absolutely spotless and seems quite new. It has an elegant traditional style with a modern twist. Rooms are huge with a clean modern bathroom, we stayed in an Indra room with a large comfy king bed! It has all the mod cons of a five star hotel but also has warm, personable friendly staff who are very genuine in making your stay feel special.Restaurant food was delicious (cost $6 per meal approx), massage was to die for after trekking through the temples of Angkor Wat (cost about $10). We were also amazed when our laundry bill only came to $3 even though we had several items laundered! We really enjoyed our early morning splash in their new pool. Don't stay any where else in Siem reap!

I stayed at Kool Hotel for 2 nights with my friends from New Zealand, I was so impress with the Kool Hotel and its services. The hotel itself is a charming gem hidden in small lane near the Airport road in Siem Reap Town. I had decided to stay at the Kool Hotel after I have found some nice reviews online. I also like to say that I really had a very good night sleep, because it was so quiet at night at the Hotel. Staffs at the Kool Hotel were very helpful especially Nat and Dane. Dane had arranged 2 days Angkor tour itinerary for me at very reasonable prices and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend other travelers to use car due to the high level dust in Siem Reap town and around the temples and especially those need an aircon. I definitely recommend The Kool Hotel to my friends and others and I will stay at the Kool again when I am back to Siem Reap in December.

It was my first time in Cambodia. The room rates are so cheap that I only expected they would provide a standard service and ordinary room. I was so surprised that the free picked up is for real and when I got to the hotel, the staffs greets me with welcome drinks and cheerfully explain every things they have to offer. And when I got to my room it was far better than I expected. I stayed in Apsara twin with my sister while my parents stayed in Indra triple with my bro. Both room are so clean, big and beautifully decorated. You can never get a room like this in Thailand at these rates especially when they have bathtubs and coffee and tea makers in room. I had many meals in the restaurant of the hotel. And they can never make me me bored. They got various kinds of breakfast and for lunch and dinner, their foods are just tasty like the foods in Thailand at reasonable prices. One thing I notice which make me really respect the management is that they are very detailed with everything even how the foods would be decorated in each dish and really pay attention in training their staffs to be much further away with their service minds. The sightseeing trips are well planned for my family by the hotel and they run very smoothly. I would like to advise here that the massage is really good and relax after a long day of walking. And it's cheap !! Lastly thanks to Dane, you really made me felt like I owned the place and you worked for me cos you paid a lot of attention to us just to make sure that we rest well and happy. And we did ! You're the best !! If I had a chance to go to Siem Reap again, I definitely stay with the KOOL again !!

This is my first trip to Cambodia and I booked my accommodation with the Kool hotel through a recommendation from a good friend of mine who went to Cambodia last month. I pre-arranged my airport transfers and tours to Siem Reap attractions with the hotel and it turned out to be very right decision to let the hotel organised for me as my trips were well-organised and I got to see many interesting things within my itinerary, time frame, and budget thanks to dedicated staff at the Kool hotel. The hotel staffs were very helpful with my requests throughout my stay. My room was very new, clean, large, modern and beautifully decorated. There was also a good sized bathtub in my bathroom which was a good addition. Great brand new salt water pool. Breakfast was also included with the room and it was not just a dull breakfast (only bacon, eggs and toast like some other places). There was a long list of breakfast menu. For my trips, the hotel also arranged yummy lunch baskets for me. The location of the hotel is pretty good not far from the tourist area of the town. It takes around 5 min by tuk tuk. I also took the hotel manager’s recommendation to walk around the town and to the old market area using the riverside avenue and it was a lovely and charming walk. Thank you Nat, Dan and their staff for making such a wonderful stay on my first trip to Cambodia

Better than what we had expected and a marvelous place to stay indeed

We have spent one week in Thailand and my partner and I was looking for a new place to explore for our last four days remaining. Finally we had decided to visit Siem Reap Cambodia. It was my 2nd trip since 2006; however it was new to my partner. We have googled online for a while and we found a few interesting hotels there we would like to stay. We have sent out a few inquiries and ask if they can organize Angkor Tour for us and we told them we weren’t sure how we are going to get there from Bangkok. The Kool hotel had replied our inquiry shortly and gave us some recommendations, flight or using border grossing via Poipet for an affordable option. They have promised to arrange a pick up for us from the border for $35 per taxi and from Bangkok to border they had suggested us to use the Thai public bus service. Finally we have decided to follow Dara (a staff who had answered our inquiry and he also assisted us to make a reservation at the Kool Hotel). The bus took around 5.30 hours from Bangkok to the border and we were transferred by a Tuk Tuk to the border gate. We were worry that how are we going to find the hotel taxi/driver because we forgot to ask where is the meeting point and he had heard a lot of scams there as well. After we passed the Thai immigration and get into Cambodia we saw our names on a hotel banner carry by our driver and we felt much better. Our driver assisted us to apply for visas and the government rate $20 USD per visa, thank you Vuthy (normally they ask you for Baht 1000 for a visa, our driver ask us if we had a 40USD to pay for the visa fees, so we do not need to pay Baht 800 per person (a visa officer had asked us for 1000Baht and then down 800 baht, we were so frustrated by those guys). We had our visa in around 15 minutes and then we took off to Siem Reap. It took around 2.30hours from Poipet to Siem Reap and some part of the road are still under construction and the driver told us they will finish it soon for the Khmer New Year on April 13. Even thou it was not a smooth ride but we had enjoyed it and the driver was so helpful and friendly. We arrive at the Kool hotel around 2.30PM and we were so exhausted. We were welcome with a drink made from a green herb leaves and tea, cold towers and some tropical fruit, we found it very comfortable at the hotel and to talk to the hotel staffs, they were so polite friendly and professional, so much different from those we met at the border. We were so happy and relax. Nat had checked us in to our Indra King room, $44 per night and he told us if we feel better he can help us to arrange the sunset at around 4.50PM. Our room is first-rate, comfortable bed and very clean, we thought it was very cheap for this price. The theme dark and gold colors they use were brilliant and make this hotel a very unique place in Siem Reap indeed. Bathroom is sparking clean with modern amenities that you would find in 4 to 5 stars hotel only. After a cold shower, we had ordered a California Chicken and a Burrito Grande from the restaurant. They were delicious and we were thinking to stay in that night for Asian/Cambodian food dinner and go for a swim at a newly built swimming pool at the back of the hotel, we saw it when we opened our balcony door and we didn’t know that it was there. We had decided to go for a sunset at Bakeng Mountain by Tuk Tuk and asked Nat to help us arrange some other Temples tour by taxi for the next day. The sunset was so beautiful but it was so hot. He had come back to dine at the hotel. Their Amok and green curry were absolutely very yummy; we would recommend them to any guests staying at the Kool to try it if you prefer Asian food, abit spicy but we love it. We went swimming after our dinner in the pool, very large pool with a sparkling water and we were so relax after a long hot day in the bus, taxi and the mountain. We keep going to pool for every afternoon and evening during our stay. The next day tour was amazing, and we had hired a tour guide for the day. The taxi and tour guide cost us $45USD and it was reasonable prices. Thank to Nat that make this happen, I thought this trip was even better than the last one I had in 2006. For us the Kool Hotel has very thing to offer even though it is not right at the tourist head quarter in the Old market area. We were looking for a quiet and peaceful hotel, and the Kool was at our top list. For the rate we think it was a very affordable hotel and we would not find it anywhere else in Siem Reap. The room is sparking clean with a brilliant fit out than what we have expected. The service is perfect nothing else to say about it and we had made the right decision to stay at The Kool Hotel. We’d like to thank to all staffs at the Kool. For those who like to travel from Bangkok to Siem Reap, I would recommend you to use the Kool Hotel transfer by their taxi, only $35 from Poipet to Siem Reap, so you will feel relax and worry free believe me.

A Sincere Commitment to Hospitality

I had never been to Cambodia before and went online to research hotels and The Kool Hotel stood out because of its great reviews. After staying there recently for three nights, I wholeheartedly recommend it, too. All the staff made my stay exceptional. From their welcoming tone when I checked in, to the care paid to preparing my meals, to the spotless cleanliness of my room, every interaction made clear that the staff strive for high-quality customer service. In addition, they routinely went above and beyond what I expected, like patiently explaining all my touring options around Angkor or just ordering a tuk-tuk if I said on a moment's notice I'd like to go somewhere. Although the hotel isn't located in downtown Siem Reap, I think its location on a small side street is a huge asset since there is virtually no noise, making it a pleasant place to sleep. In short, the best thing about The Kool Hotel is the staff's sincere commitment to hospitality. These guys earn every dollar. If I can go back to Angkor, I am definitely staying with them again.

CERTAINLY A KOOL PLACE TO STAY!

We spent 6 nights at the Kool Hotel and can thoroughly recommend it. The hotel itself is very attractively laid out, a really nice size being not to big and its spotlessly clean. The staff are incredibly friendly and the owners speak perfect English (among other languages) as they have both spent many years in Australia/NZ. Food wise they have an extensive and very reasonably priced menu and as we speak are building another restaurant and swimming pool. As far as visiting Angkor and other sights, the guys can organise anything you want and you won’t pay over the odds at all. They gave us some sound advise about times best to go to places and if certain trips were worthwhile (due to dry season etc) which certainly saved us some disappointment. We normally organise most of this ourselves but as each successive days trip worked out, we just kept going back to them The hotel is situated is perfect in that its away from the heart and noise of Siem Reap but just a 15 min walk or $2 in a Tuk Tuk. If your looking to stay at somewhere that’s great value and has all of the above , then this is the place for you. it’s a new hotel and I think that previous reviews speak for themselves. We will certainly return here if ever back in Siem Reap and will be recommending to all we know.
