The Hotel services were amazing, the stuff in the Front Desk as well as in the restaurants were incredibly freindly. We enjoyed with the entertainment and the way the team is. However, the guy who sells the Boat Trip, if I am not mistaken his name is -MHres- was very agressive and tried to harass our family and pushed us to buy forcefully his tickets!!! he even threatened us if we would not do that!!! We were extremely frustrated about our safety and we have made our decision to not go back again!!!

Firstly the staff were absolutly fantastic, the entertainment crew especially! As an 18 year old there were not many people there of my age (either under 15 or over 30!) during this feb period and the crew (Helmi and Billy) were great company. The rooms were clean but a little shabby, and the maids were constantly smiling and polite. The rest of the staff will chat to you and make sure you have everything you need. As for the food, I did not find it that great and there was little selection but it may have just been the time of year that I went as it was the quiet season. The walk to the Port is about 20 mins or more but there is always a horse and buggy not far away for those who would prefer not to walk. Sousse is a must but you may want a guide the first time you go or you will not see most of the medina (well you might but you may find yourself lost!) the are normally guides working from with in the hotel. In the hotel itself everything dies down around midnight, but there are plenty of clubs around. Making friends with others is a must as I can be quiet at some points. The trip to the desert (over night) is one i recommend, this is my second visit to Tunisa and I have done this trip both times. you will not be dissapointed as you will see a vast amount of this beautiful country in just 2 days. At the end of the holiday we were waved off by the staff that became our friends, I nearly cried! There has never been a holiday that i didnt want to return from, but this time I wanted to stay for ever.

We've been to this hotel twice this year. It's the first time, I've returned to a resort, never mind hotel. As has been said, the staff are fantastic. I liked the food, it was typical hotel food but very varied. The Tunisian food was the best. The friendliness of the staff rubs off on the clientell and we made frinds with many guests of different nationalities on both visits. We are also still in contact with some members of staff!! The downside is......if you've paid for an all inclusive you tend to eat each meal at the hotel. You may wish sometimes to eat somewhere else in the evenings but there is nowhere nearby. The nearest other place in the Marina, a good 30 minute walk. So you tend to think --what's the point, if it's free in the hotel. The entertainment in the evening, hmmmm, you need a few drinks to enjoy it. My kids loved it, even the 20 year old. The second time we went for 3 weeks and by the end of the first week, I was sitting on my own in the room reading every easing. Luckilly, I made some friends from Tunisia and started going out in the evenings. I had a holiday romance with one (he's the same age as me and not after a visa) and he's been here for a week and we're continuing our relationship. Obviously as he's said, the Riviera is not a true experience of Tunisia, but this is a review of the hotel. It's fun, it's relaxing, it's clean, it's friendly, and as you'll see if you go there and meet guests who return year after year, it's addictive. Enjoy.

Brilliant!!!! Perfect!!!! The best holiday we've ever had!!!! We were a little worried as this was the first time we have been to Tunisia and last Oct we had to be taken to Hospital in Majorca. No worries this time!! The hotel was extremely clean (cleaning ladies every time you looked up). The food was brilliant and the kitchen staff kept checking its temperature. There was a wide range to try and plainer food and lots of salads if you didn't want to be adventurous. We checked with the rep. and was told that the hotel had purified water for the fruit and veg.
The main areas of the hotel are wonderful with lots of marble to help keep it cool. The staff are all very attentive and polite.
When we were there, the hotel was starting its winter refurbishment, and when a room became empty the furniture and doors where removed. This was a little disconcerting but gave us a chance to have a noise and see what the rooms where going to be like. Very nice! The animation team were amazing they made everyone feel important. Babies were whisked off for a dance and elderly holiday makers were engaged in a game of cards. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way to talk to you, nothing was too much trouble.
The sauna, Turkish bath and massage were just what was needed for the start of the holiday, we felt relaxed and refreshed.
Everyone we spoke to enjoyed it and there were so many people that were regular visitors. We had read a few negative comments about the hotel before we went and really didn't know what to expect. All we can say is they must have been talking about a different hotel.
We will be going back!!!

This is the 3rd time I have been to Tunisia and each time I have stayed at the Occidental Allegro Riviera. I love it so much I am going again February. I cannot find any fault with this place. The hotel is beautiful, the pool is fantastic, it's about a 2 minute walk to the beach and to top it all off, the staff are absolutely outstanding. I have never known such friendly people in my life. The bar staff always serve you with a smile and a chat and as for the entertainment team. They are incredible. The shows that they put on at night are fantastic, but they work very long hours and are very busy. They always find time for you, all in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone, 100 out of 10!!!

Ignor any bad reviews on this hotel....
I have been to Tunisia 6 times so far, and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in.
The entertainment team were the best ive ever had, keeping us entertained the entire holiday, while keeping up rehursals. They worked incredibly hard, and made our holiday better than we could of ever imagined.
The bar staff & reception staff were amazingly friendly, providing a 5* service.
The harbour-wich is about a 10-15min walk from the hotel, passed the small golf club-has loads of lovely shops, cafes, and resturants. Then of a night time the fun fair comes alive.
Food is varied, and even catered for me (a fussy vegie)but is repeated the following week.
Loved it so much I will be returning in around 2 weeks time.
Recomend this hotel 100%

Having just spent a week at this hotel (sorry Caribbean village HA HA) I must say what a boring place it is! When we got there and went to the hard sell meeting (sorry again welcome meeting) the rep said the port was about 5 to 10 min walk away!!! Never it was more like 30 to 40 if you walked fast; it felt more like 2hrs as there is nothing but a golf course on the way! rooms were ok if not a little dated (Im sure my grandmother had the same curtains in the 70s) they were cleaned everyday with fresh towels and bedding, there was plenty of choice in the restaurants and the food was nice (we loved the meatballs an spaghetti), as soon as you get to the bar you can tell your A.I as the beer is like water and the measures of spirits are about a thimble full and unless you tip you aint getting no more!!! Staff are friendly enough but like to cater more towards the German guests. Now we get on to the wonderful entertainment what a delight to watch Riverdance every night for a week! This soooo made the holiday complete (and with the lack of alcohol you couldn't even block it from your night!!!) we booked this holiday to celebrate my birthday! We just wanted something chilled out for a week before the mad Xmas rush, instead what we got was mild depression (caused more by Michael Flattly wannabes)!!! Problem is youre trapped, with nothing around your hotel!!! If thats a holiday then Id rather not go at all

I can not fault the hotel or Tunisia I have visited the hotel 14 times in 6 years and been to Tunisia 20 times. I love the culture and the people are wonderful, I feel very safe and never have felt threatened in any way I usually go with my friend and sometime go myself and have a wonderful time. I can go out of the hotel night or day and feel safe. The hotel is my second home, love it to bits and the staff are just great, smiling always. Keep in contact with Hedi and a lot of the staff and entertainment team, who work very hard and a lot of hours. The hotel won the best food in 2005, very clean hotel and beautiful. Going back in June and meeting up with 4 other people who I met last year, we all can not wait. Pool is big and pool area very clean kept clean by Fadhel all day long. I am 30 and my friend is 27 we enjoy our stay in the Hotel every time.
