Top Local Tips for Tarangire National Park

Stay away from Tarangire Safari Lodge - Broken toilet and broken promises! Toilet broken during whole stay - manager refused to see issue that night and only saw me in morning. Used public restrooms - still waiting for refund! I feel taken advantage of and very disappointed at how management has chosen to address issue. Worst memory from honeymoon, and advise others to stay at Sopa or Tree Tops.

Tsetse flies Use insectrepellents on your both your clothes and your skin. Avoid blue or dark colors. Have a scarf available to wave them away and out of the safari vehicle, and something to kill them with. My swahili phrasebook turned out to be very useful ;)
