This was my 05th visit to Khartoum is 02 years. I was so unfortunate to stay in variety of hotels in my previous stays. Why I say unfortunate is that the quality of those hotels are so pathetic. Comparatively I can rate Hotel palace 09 out of 10 within Sudan and 5 out of 10 in international standards..
Good Gym but the AC is not working properly in the gym. Good Pool, Tennis court needs hell of a good repair.. Breakfast is good in consideration of the fasting times (ramadan)
Overall good place to stay and relax... the best hotel I have stayed so far in Sudan.. even better than Hilton.. |

I stayed for six nights at the Hotel Palace in April 2006 and I can give the hotel an overall passing grade. Having never been in Sudan I have nothing to compare the hotel with, but after a few days there I began to understand some of the hotel's strengths and weaknesses. Several features were very good: (i.e.) the excellent elevators, the fluffy towels, the clean bedding, and a good restaurant. However, there are some weaknesses, such as a toilet in my room which refused to flush for thre days, even after I had reported the problem; frayed carpet in the room and the hall; and drawers that fell out of the dresser. The air conditioning worked well, however, and the room was quiet. The staff were helpful and they had a good business center. I would stay at this hotel again. |
