| This motel is far from anything, out in the sticks and a half hour from sun city, another oasis in this wilderness. Not a bad thing if your looking for rustic surroundings. My driver dropped me off and was gone before I had an opportunity to get the lay of this place.
A staffer was rude, unresponsive to any questions, failed to inform me of any of the amenities (few) of the place and worst of all to inform me of the meal schedule. I had flown all night and was tired. When I awoke I had missed dinner and as I am a diabetic this is a bad thing. The man on the desk was unsympathetic and the only machine with food in it was broken.
The bathtub floor was so acutely shaped so as to afford no opportunity to stand on a flat surface. Very bad for us older folks. No rubber mat. Also separate facets for hot and cold water in the sink so no means of mixing for the best temperature. All in all a poor choice for a room. And they have the balls to levy a tax on their guests for Hospitality, a rip off if there ever was one.
The only saving grace of the place was the help of a lady who worked there. She was a ray of sunlight in an otherwise dark experience. |
