Top Local Tips for Sabie

Drive yourself We went to Kruger in August. By taking some of the gravel roads we almost had the place to ourselves, saw loads and loads of game ( Big 5 except a leopard). NO need to spend money on lots of Game drives, b ut splash out on one or two to a private reserve. They will make sure you see lots of things. Whatever anyone says, if you are driving youself you DO need a 4 wheel drive, for height, gravel roads and comfort.

Protea Hotels Book directly through their website. When I asked the hotel to book us for a night at the next city, the rate was almost double of what was advertized on their website. I had to cancel the reservation made through the front desk and rebook online.
