Zululand driving We had a few problems on the way and ended up arriving after dark. The roads up in Zululand/Maputaland are note great to travel in the dark because there are no lights, there are a lot of trucks that have to be overtaken, some potholes - but worst of all the chjance that cattle etc could wander onto the road. Quite nerve-wracking - so definitely leave enough time to arrive befroe sunset if you can! And take the hotels phone number in case you need help or to warn them what time you will arrive. The staff at Ghost Mountain were really concerned when we arrived must later then expected and were ready to come and look for us in case we had broken down!
